Transition Tip: Update Officer Roster on Mav Central
Ensure your RSO stays in the loop by updating your officer positions on Mav Central! The RSO office uses the officer rosters to build the recipient list for RSO newsletters. Important communication in the summer and early fall includes topics like:
the annual Re-Recognition process and deadlines,
required officer training dates,
the RSO & Volunteer Fair,
and more!
Elections not happening until fall? That’s okay! But add student leaders (or potential student leaders) who are not graduating so your RSO gets the important info.
STUDENT GOVERNMENT AND MAVERICK SHOP LEADERSHIP AWARD
At least fourteen (14) $500 awards will be awarded to students who have demonstrated profound leadership on campus and in the community. The award will provide funds for students to purchase class materials at the on-campus Maverick Shop bookstore.
While open to both undergraduate and graduate students, and both domestic and international students, candidates for this award must be students who are active with and on the roster for the Residence Hall Association, Student Events Team, International Student Association, Fraternity and Sorority Life, any officially recognized Student Organization (RSO), Student Government (or its boards, committees, and commissions), or an Intercollegiate Athletics team.
Applications can be found on the Student Government MavCentral page at
Register for this 3-part skill based workshop series! Develop a sense of curiosity and empathy. Students will be trained to recognize differences and commonalities, be curious, and empathize with their peers from different backgrounds. Dinner provided.
The Student Leadership Awards is an annual program hosted by the Maverick Involvement Team and Student Activities where the campus community is invited to nominate students, staff, and/or Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) for awards. Nominators, nominees, award winners, and guests are invited to the academy award style ceremony to celebrate and recognize the exceptional work of those nominated and awarded. The event will take place in the CSU Ballroom. Doors will open at 2:45 p.m. and the event will start at 3:00 p.m.
